Welcome to Dialogue-AngloScene's Language Centre in RYE (near Hastings), England. The Centre is a cosy English-style house, enjoying a quiet and peaceful location with superb views of the English countryside, and only a ten-minute walk from Rye town centre.
Your room is comfortable and fully equipped with a desk, CD player/radio, TV, private bathroom (washbasin, shower and toilet) and, if you are bringing your laptop with you, a wi-fi connection to the Internet. You also have free access to the Internet in the lounge.
The ancient town of Rye is the ideal place to unwind after an intensive day of lessons. It offers many delightful features: Ypres Tower (the castle), the medieval church, beautifully preserved historic houses from Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times, cobbled streets, antique shops, art galleries, book shops, potteries, and also a myraid of tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy locally made foods and beverages, not to forget the people of Rye who are renowned for their warm welcome and hospitality. For the sports enthusiasts, the town offers a Sports Centre with an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, squash and badminton courts. The Rye golf club is only a few kilometers outside the town. You can also enjoy walking or jogging along quiet footpaths near the house or at the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, or cycling to the nearest sandy beach (Camber Sands) only a few kilometres away. And for the adventurers among you, the Lydd Aeroclub (who are our partners in offering our aviation courses) can organise a breath-taking flight for you to see the South East of England from the air. For those who also spend their weekend at DialoguE-AngloScene, there are other historic towns to be discovered nearby, all easily accessible by train: Hastings , Winchelsea, Battle , Canterbury , and of course London , which is only 2 hours away by train.
